| Historic retail and terminal gate fuel prices, FuelWatchMonthly files of every WA retail fuel price reported to FuelWatch, and the terminal gate price history. We asked FuelWatch on 2 October 2026 for permission to republish the historic files. On 7 October 2026 FuelWatch declined in writing. It corrects past prices when it finds errors and keeps its own download pages as the primary copy. Both histories can be downloaded from FuelWatch, and the terminal gate prices are at https://www.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au/industry/historic-terminal-gate-prices. | FuelWatch WA | FUELWATCH-TERMS | blocked by licence | |
| Latest weather observations, Bureau of MeteorologyTen-minute observations from Australian weather stations, kept as a dated record for each station. We asked the Bureau on 2 October 2026 for permission to republish the observations. On 5 October 2026 the Bureau replied that this use needs a paid Registered User licence, and that licence does not allow the files to be passed on as released. On 6 October 2026 we asked whether the Bureau offers an arrangement that would allow an open release. We are waiting for its answer. | BoM Cth | BOM-COPYRIGHT-NOTICE | blocked by licence | |
| National Public Toilet MapThe location, opening hours and facilities of more than 17,000 public toilets across Australia, including showers, drinking water and dump points. The data.gov.au record names CC BY 3.0 AU, and the same record sets out the database's own terms of use. Clause 3.2 of those terms says a licensee may not sublicense its rights, and that anyone else who needs the database must obtain a copy from data.gov.au and accept the terms themselves. A copy served here could not pass on the right to reuse it. We asked the project team on 1 October 2026 whether CC BY 3.0 AU applies to the whole database, and followed up on 15 October 2026. The Continence Foundation of Australia replied on 7 October 2026 that it is seeking advice from the Australian Government. It can be built once the department confirms the licence. | Health Cth | NPTM-DATABASE-TERMS | blocked by licence | |

Why votes
Votes tell us what to build next and they tell publishers what people want from their data. Both are useful.
What blocks a dataset
Only the licence. A dataset with no open licence is listed in grey with the reason. Everything else, including awkward formats and pages with no download, is work, and work goes in the backlog.
Build one yourself
Anyone can add a dataset from this list. A command drafts the register entry from the portal page, and the contributing page covers the rest, from the licence check to the pull request.
For publishers
A grey row shows what would make it buildable. A row with votes shows the demand. If you would rather we built from a file you control, send a stable URL and we will switch to it.
Votes are counted once per browser per day and are never tied to a person. The catalogue can be searched at /api/v1/catalogue, the register is /backlog.json and the counts are /api/v1/votes.
