The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) counts traffic at sites across the state-declared road network and publishes annual estimates from the counts.

Traffic census has the annual average daily traffic at each count site for the latest eleven years, with counts by vehicle class. Traffic by hour and day of week has the average volume at each site for each hour of each day of the week in the latest year.

Department of Transport and Main Roads releases these 2 tables as one dataset on its portal, so every table here shares the version date 2026-06-03. Each table has its own page with a format picker, a field list, a sample record and its version history.

Also called: Queensland annual average daily traffic, Queensland heavy vehicle counts by road, Queensland peak hour traffic by road, Queensland traffic data averaged by hour of day and day of week, TMR AADT data, TMR hourly traffic counts, Traffic census for the Queensland state-declared road network.
