# Coastal Data System waves, Queensland

The Coastal Data System is the network of wave monitoring buoys the Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation (DETSI) runs off the Queensland coast. Each buoy records wave height, period and direction and the sea surface temperature every half hour.

The publisher keeps one portal dataset per buoy and adds one CSV file for each year. Each entry here follows the newest year file for one buoy. Seven buoys are held so far. Earlier years stay on the publisher's page.
